The next Ford Raptor is finally here! Ford unveiled the 2017 Ford Raptor this morning at the Detroit Autoshow.
The 2017 Ford Raptor will feature a twin-turbocharged 3.5 liter V6 Ecoboost engine, a new 10-speed transmission, and the aluminum body that was used in the 2015 Ford F-150.
No concrete numbers have been given, but Ford estimated that the 2017 Ford Raptor will produce more output than last generations 6.2 liter V8 at 411 hp and 434 lbs of torque.
Along with the aluminum body the 2017 Raptor will feature a new steel frame that will reduce the weight by 500 lbs. It will also feature a new suspension system with bigger and beefier FOX shocks that will increase travel, as well as a new Smart Terrain management system with modes for various terrain conditions.
